Nat has an undergraduate degree in Science, majoring in Zoology. She is currently doing honours in Zoology, researching wombats.

Natasha is a self-taught professional wildlife artist and has been drawing since 2000 and painting since 2002, specialising in oil painting. She has learnt her painting skills by reading art books and attending a couple of local oil painting classes. She also studied art throughout high school.

In 2004 Nat's acrylic artwork "Great Cats" was selected to be part of an exhibition at The Art Gallery of New South Wales and is now a part of a permanent collection at Westmead Children Hospital.

In 2006, she won the Greater Building Society New Talent Award for my acrylic painting "Endangered Eyes".

Her HSC visual art body of work was selected for ArtExpress and tour around NSW.

In 2008, Nat's oil painting "Taking a chance" based from her experience at Australia Reptile Park was selected as a finalist in the Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize, Australia's richest award for natural history art.

Nat has won several prizes in local competitions around NSW and has been a part of numerous exhibitions. She has sold her paintings in these competitions as well.

Several of Natasha's artworks are hung in hospitals around NSW.

Recently her inspirations has come from her direct experience working with animals and volunteering at numerous zoos and conservation projects. Seeing the individual personality allows her to create paintings that the general public would not see everyday.

Nat has painted a variety of different animals, each with there own story to tell.

Natasha does commissions and pet portraiture. If you like more information about other animals Nat has painted or would like to request a commission please contact her at ncrook4@gmail.com.
